We are extremely thrilled to announce that the 150th Anniversary Mathematics Forum was successfully held by the Mathematics Society on 26 February, 2025 (Wednesday).
Several honourable guests were invited, including our Alternate Supervisor and Former Principal Mr Ching King Bor, Prof. Siu Man Keung, Dr. Lee Man Sang Arthur, Prof. Ivan Ip Chi-Ho, Dr. Mak Wai Leung Hugo, and Mr. Nicky Wong. Furthermore, Andy Zhang from 3E and Isaac Lee from 2E also shared their insights and exhibited their enthusiasm in specific fields of Mathematics.
We are proud to declare that the forum was an unprecedented event in SJC, and we once again created another historic milestone for the 150th Anniversary! The Forum was intended to celebrate the profound history of mathematical exploration at SJC throughout different talk sessions, as well as to broaden students’ horizons in mathematical thinking.
We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all esteemed guests and speakers for sparing the time to join us in the Forum in the midst of their hectic schedules, especially Mr Ching who assisted us in numerous events. Additionally, we would like to thank Mr CY Tam for delivering the opening speech. Finally, we hope our students thoroughly enjoyed the Forum and found it rewarding!
