CBS Exchange Program 2024

We are delighted to announce that the Christian Brothers’ Schools Student Exchange Programme (CBS Exchange) was successfully organized from the 22nd to the 26th of April. It was a student exchange programme between Christian Brothers (Lasallian) secondary schools in Hong Kong, including Chan Sui Ki (La Salle) College (CSK), Chong Gene Hang College (CGHC), De La Salle Secondary School (DLS), La Salle College (LSC), and St. Joseph’s College (SJC).

The exchange programme aims to provide participants with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to establish lifelong friendships, experience a fruitful learning environment in another campus, and foster students’ bonding while raising their awareness as a community of Christian Brothers.

During the four-day programme at SJC, our students held several activities for incoming students, such as the enriching rat dissection workshop and the Japanese confectionery workshop. The teacher-in-charge, Mr Anthony Ng, also gave speeches to help them become familiar with the school.

Furthermore, around eighty students from our brother schools visited SJC on April 24th (Wednesday). Teachers and ambassadors from SJC created a plentiful visit for them, and the helpers shared their thoughts on school life and introduced the achievements and uniqueness of SJC at each particular checkpoint. We thank them for enabling this school tour to be conducted smoothly.

April 26th (Friday) marked the end of the exchange programme. All students gathered at LSC for a branch of sports competitions and a barbecue at night. The rationales of the closing ceremony included providing all mentees and mentors with a chance to recall their valuable memories from the past four days and further strengthening the connection between the Christian Brothers’ Schools.

In a nutshell, the event was overall satisfactory, and we express our deepest gratitude to all organizing committee members for leading this event to success. We genuinely hope all incoming students had a treasured and unforgettable time at SJC and that they have gained valuable insights into our school’s culture, history, and development.
