We extend our warmest congratulations to Chan Wang Ip Boris from 3E for achieving phenomenal results in the Hong Kong Junior Chess Championships, which were part of the Hong Kong International Open.
The former was held on 6th and 7th January, 2024, at The Methodist Lee Wai Lee College. Boris was the U16 age group champion and has qualified as the official player for Hong Kong in that particular age group.
The latter was held from 24th to 29th December, 2023, at SKH St. Benedict’s School. Although it was an international tournament with several grandmasters participating from many foreign countries, he still obtained an excellent result, ranking 12th out of 176 players, and was crowned as the best player in Hong Kong and the U18 champion.
Once again, we show our deepest respect to Boris for his efforts devoted to these championships. He certainly deserves the tremendous awards!
